The State Of MIA Address!

 Thank you. Thank you very much. Mr. Ray, board directors, students, staff members, and my fellow families: 

     Ten years ago, Marco Island academy was born. Tonight I stand here, with you to share how incredibly well our school has grown. Grades are booming,  student attendance is soaring, student participation is surging, cell phone use is plummeting, and drug use and vandalism is falling. MIA is thriving and is now a highly respected school. Our future is blazing and our rival schools are on the run. The days of our school being told that we will never be able to obtain our dreams and being seen as the smallest compared to other schools are over. Gone, too, are the strains of building our strength and credibility. Our graduation rate has risen to 96%. We do not just see each other as students and teachers. We see each other as family.
